Although a land and sea exhibition, we seized the opportunity to continue the promotion of Typhoon as the best solution to meet Malaysia’s requirement for a new Multi Role Combat Aircraft.
In order to strengthen the industrial cooperation between the UK and Malaysia, we also signed Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) with three leading Malaysian Industry groups during the show.
Finally, we are committed to supporting the Chevening Scholarship programme for Malaysia. This is the first time that we have been involved in this prestigious scholarship programme which will be called “BAE Systems Malaysia Chevening Scholarships”, and will specifically sponsor seven students to study engineering and sciences in the United Kingdom in 2012 and a further 14 in 2013.
