BAE Systems officially begins work as the new U.S. Navy T-34/44/6 aircraft Contractor

The work will be conducted at naval air stations in Corpus Christi, Texas and Pensacola and Whiting Field, Florida. It’s part of a $400 million, five year contract announced last December.

The company will perform scheduled inspections, along with required repairs, modifications and logistical support, for more than 300 aircraft operated by the Chief of Naval Air Training.

During a recent Day One event with employees in Corpus Christi, BAE Systems showed its strong support of the military with a ceremony dedicated to the Wounded Warrior Project.  At the event, Connie Rendon, a local wounded warrior and BAE Systems employee, and Jeff Sinchak, a WWP speaker and wounded warrior, both shared their stories of service and survival.  At the end, BAE Systems donated $2,000 to the organization on behalf of the T-34, T-44 and T-6 maintenance team.
