BAE Systems Detica today announces that it has been named by GCHQ’s Information Assurance arm CESG and the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) as one of a select group of companies on a newly launched Government scheme that will provide organisations with access to expertise on how to respond effectively to sophisticated, targeted cyber attacks.
The Cyber Incident Response scheme follows on from the successful pilot conducted by CESG and CPNI which began in November 2012. BAE Systems Detica was one of only four companies certified to participate in the pilot, which was designed to set the future standards for cyber response services.
Detica’s successful transition from pilot member to full scheme member reflects its knowledge and experience in providing cyber response services. The company has a forty year heritage working in UK national security and helps organisations manage all aspects of cyber risk from start to finish, so that key decision makers can prepare for, protect against, monitor for and respond effectively to serious cyber security incidents.
Detica’s dedicated incident response team uses specialist tools and knowledge of attackers’ methods to uncover and investigate advanced attacks, providing a unique blend of business and forensic skills and a response in hours. Organisations’ most valuable data is secured and the removal of both attacker and threat ensured.
