Guy Montminy is senior vice president of Finance for BAE Systems, Inc., responsible for the financial operations of the company’s U.S.-based businesses, which employ approximately 35,000 employees in the United States, United Kingdom, and Sweden, and generated 2022 sales of nearly $12.6 billion.
Montminy is a seasoned executive with over three decades of increasingly complex leadership roles in the defense and security market. Prior to his current role, he was president of the Platforms & Services sector, where he oversaw the company’s portfolio of U.S. and international military vehicles, weapon systems, U.S. Navy ship repair and modernization, and munitions site management businesses.
Previously, Montminy served as senior vice president and deputy general manager for the Electronic Systems sector from 2017 to mid-2018, where he was responsible for overseeing sector operations spanning both commercial and defense markets.
From 2014 to 2017, he was senior vice president of Finance for BAE Systems, Inc., which followed his tenure as vice president of Finance for the Electronic Systems sector from 2009 to 2013, vice president of Finance for the Sensor Systems business from 2004 to 2008, and Controller for BAE Systems’ former Information & Electronic Systems Integration business from 2000 to 2004. He has also held leadership positions in new business capture, technology licensing, divestitures and acquisitions.
Montminy holds a master's degree in accountancy from Bentley College and a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts. He is a graduate of the BAE Systems Financial Leadership Development Program and has also served as the program's director.
He is a former adjunct accounting and finance professor and served on the accounting academic advisory board of the University of New Hampshire's Peter T. Paul College of Business and Economics.
