Ann Ackerson

Ann Ackerson is Chief Procurement Officer for BAE Systems, Inc. In this role, she is a member of the Inc. Senior Leadership Team and chair of the BAE Systems plc Global Procurement Council. She leads the Procurement function as the company continues to focus on maximizing the purchasing power of the global enterprise. To support this international oversight, she reports to the senior vice president of Finance for BAE Systems, Inc., with a functional reporting relationship to the plc Group Finance Director.

 

Ackerson has more than three decades of strategic sourcing, material management, and global supply chain leadership experience she acquired while working for multi-billion dollar manufacturing and services companies. Before joining BAE Systems in May 2020, she was senior vice president of Global Supply Chain Management for Freeman, a privately-held firm, after spending more than five years as Chief Procurement Officer and vice president Supply Chain Management with Dresser-Rand, A Siemens Business. Previously, Ackerson held procurement roles of expanding leadership responsibilities with Honeywell, Boeing Satellite Systems, Case Corporation (now CNH Global), among others.

Ackerson earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in transportation and logistics from Iowa State University and her Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa. She also holds a Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
