The Eurofighter partnership is proud to be part of the Kaivopuisto Air Show 2021, bringing the backbone of European air defence the skies over to Helsinki.
Eurofighter is offering Finland a once in a generation opportunity to strengthen European defence and security co-operation as it looks to replace the Finnish Air Force's F-18 Hornet fleet.
This invitation is backed by political, military and industrial strength of the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Spain, bringing high value jobs and work to Finnish industry together with world-leading capability to defending the nation.
By choosing Eurofighter, Finland will be choosing these benefits and the ability to independently operate, maintain and control its own aircraft.

RAF Typhoon Display Pilot

The Royal Air Force's Typhoon Display Pilot, Flight Lieutenant James Sainty, will be among the headline acts for the air display over the seafront on Friday evening
With a top speed of Mach 2.0, the agility and flexibility which make Eurofighter the aircraft of choice for air policing and the operational frontline of many European air forces make it a spectacular display aircraft.
You can meet Flight Lieutenant Sainty and the RAF Typhoon Display Team at the Eurofighter exhibition. The team will be located alongside the full-scale aircraft replica.

We will do this whilst delivering jobs which will remain in Finland for as long as Eurofighter is in service with Finland.
Our offer of true European partnership will deliver what Finland needs in:
  • Security of Supply - through the transfer of sovereign capabilities, with best-in-class aircraft availability.
  • Affordability - by delivering maximum military capability within the acquisition budget, with demonstrably low through life support costs.
  • Industrial participation - our offer exceeds the targets set for both direct and indirect industrial participation and underpins Finland’s security of supply.
  • Military capability - Eurofighter is a system designed to deter and defeat high-end aerial targets, using a unique sovereign mission data capability.
This offer is backed by the governments of the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Spain which will use Eurofighter to protect Europe until at least 2060.
