Marco
Managing Director
Marco joined BAE Systems as Director for Army & Security in 2013. He is a retired colonel and a graduate of the Military Academy of Agulhas Negras, Brazil.
He was one of the first helicopter pilots to join the Brazilian Army’s Aviation Command in Taubate, Sao Paulo, accumulating over two thousand flying hours. In 2010 and 2011 he attended France’s Ecole de Guerre military college in Paris, which trains high potential officers from the French forces and its allies. Marco also holds a post graduate degree in Public Management Law from Rio’s Castello Branco University and a Masters in Military Administration from the Brazilian Army Command and Staff College, Rio.
Felipe
Business Development Manager - Brazil
Felipe is a Business Development Manager for BAE Systems in Brazil. In this role, he supports the negotiation and delivery of projects in the land, naval, air and cyber domains.
He joined the company in 2020, after three years as the Brazil Country Manager for UK Defence and Security Exports, based in the British Consulate-General in Rio de Janeiro.
Before that, he worked for five years in consulting firms in the strategy, sales and compliance functions. He delivered projects in the defence, aerospace, oil & gas and financial services sectors. He was also an external contributor to Jane’s – having worked in the firm’s business consultancy and special publications divisions.
Felipe holds a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from the Fluminense Federal University, a master’s degree in Maritime Studies from the Brazilian Navy’s Naval War College and a PhD in Military Sciences from the Brazilian Army’s General Staff and Command College. He is also a published scholar, having authored articles and book chapters in the subjects of offset management, defence acquisition and technology transfer.
