Available on demand in 45-minute sessions, these highly inspirational episodes help students on the first steps in careers planning and educators to provide engaging careers advice to meet Gatsby Benchmarks 2, 4, 5 and 7. In this episode, we zoom in on marine and aerospace engineering technicians. We hear from L3-L6 Apprentices at BAE Systems on what their roles involve, why they choose to work in this industry and how they landed their apprenticeships. BAE Systems experts also show the different pathways available into the industry.

Resources for students – engineering fairy tales

Engineering fairy tales are a range of STEM stories and challenges to help children understand about the world of engineering and develop their teamwork and creative problem-solving skills. These stories were developed by the education experts at STEMFirst, and are read by STEM Ambassadors from BAE Systems, the Royal Navy, British Army and RAF.
