13:45: Team Tempest – accelerating the development of the UK’s future combat air
Presenters: BAE Systems, Leonardo, MBDA and Rolls Royce
Location: Media Centre – BAE Systems, HALL 5
Join us to hear about the UK Future Combat Air Systems (FCAS) technologies in development with our partners under the national endeavour of Team Tempest. The panel will provide an update on key programmes and how they are accelerating the development of the UK’s advanced aerospace technologies, maturing engineering approaches and reducing technical risk for future combat air capabilities including the Global Combat Air Programme.
Brontanax
Brontanax is the UK's first British-designed uncrewed autonomous Collaborative Combat Aircraft. It provides a new layer of frontline capability, built to fly with crewed aircraft and add mass at lower cost.
Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA)
Collaborative combat aircraft (CCA) change what forces can achieve in the air. By pairing crewed platforms with uncrewed 'loyal wingmen', we extend reach, sharpen decisions and take on the most dangerous roles without putting more people in harm's way. These aircraft find targets, share intelligence and act as one connected force, with meaningful human command and control retained throughout.

BAE Systems and NEC sign MoU to strengthen Japan's active cyber defence
BAE Systems and NEC Corporation have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to combine expertise for the implementation of active cyber defence (ACD) solutions for the Japanese Government. This MoU demonstrates the intent of both organisations to work together in various sectors beyond the defence domain, building on the momentum of the Japan-UK Strategic Cyber Partnership agreed by the respective Governments in January 2026.
