Policy summaries

The policy applies to BAE Systems plc, its wholly owned subsidiaries and their respective employees. All other companies and entities controlled by BAE Systems plc have a substantially equivalent policy applicable to their respective employees.
BAE Systems depends upon its suppliers to provide fully compliant, cost-effective equipment, goods, services and solutions, which are an integral part of the world-class products required by its customers, and also support the effective operations of its businesses and the company’s standards of business conduct.
The Company’s Procurement policy defines the requirements to be implemented by the businesses for the establishment of minimum standards of procurement control, the management of external supplier-related risk, due diligence of suppliers and appropriate Company-wide collaboration.
The Company’s Supplier Principles are communicated to suppliers and risk assessments are periodically conducted with these suppliers.
Employees who work within the area of procurement are required to receive appropriate training in supplier management.
