BAE Systems' Advanced Microwave Products (AMP) Center in Nashua, New Hampshire delivers defense-critical microwave components and modules. The center is a full-service, compound semiconductor foundry that meets some of the company’s most challenging needs. Through the research, development, and manufacturing of gallium arsenide (GaAs) and gallium nitride (GaN) materials, the center supports a wide range of electronic applications, including avionics, electronic combat, communications, surveillance, and targeting systems.
The AMP Center encompasses a total area of 70,000 square feet and includes a Class 100 integrated circuit (IC) fabrication clean room space for qualification, assembly, and testing. The Center has been a Department of Defense accredited category 1A trusted supplier since 2008, and the facility features extensive environmental control equipment to ensure the highest quality of cleanliness for maintaining reliable semiconductor devices.
The AMP Center’s capabilities include:
- Vertically integrated operation, which ensures a complete microwave product solution
- Monolithic Microwave Integrated Circuit (MMIC) foundry products, such as GaAs and GaN technologies with industry-leading performance and reliability
- Module capabilities, including design/simulation, assembly/packaging, and testing for fast prototyping and high-rate manufacturing
The facility was established in 1985 and continues to grow, providing a range of services spanning the development of advanced materials and devices, foundry services, and high-rate module manufacturing.
