Julian Cracknell

Managing Director of Applied Intelligence
Julian is the Managing Director of BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, appointed in May 2017, and is a member of the Executive Committee.
 
Previously, Julian held a number of senior positions in the company’s Applied Intelligence business, including most recently Managing Director for its International Services and Solutions division. Prior to this, Julian was Managing Director of Applied Intelligence’s UK Services business, where he was responsible for client relationships and delivery across National Security, Government and the Commercial markets. He was also responsible for the Systems Integration and Consultancy workforces.
 
Before joining BAE Systems in 2012, Julian worked at Logica in a number of roles including Director of National Security and Business Unit Manager for Defence Systems. Julian’s background includes the delivery of large software development programmes, commercial management and leading business development teams.
 
Julian has a 1st class degree in Computer Science from the Unversity of Dundee.
 
Career highlights: Taking on the leadership of the Applied Intelligence business and seeing up close the incredible work that it does for its clients across the world.
 
When not at work: When not at work Julian enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, reading and keeping fit. Julian is also a trustee of Naomi House, a children's hospice in Hampshire.
