AMV35 - Adaptable Combat Reconnaissance Vehicle


BAE Systems is the prime contractor pursuing Australia’s defence program Land 400 Phase 2 Mounted Combat Reconnaissance Capability with Patria of Finland.
A military-off-the-shelf solution to satisfy the Australian Army’s requirement is being offered, based on equipment in-service with NATO nations. It comprises the Patria Armoured Modular Vehicle (AMV) and BAE Systems turret.
AMV has been selected for service in seven countries and 1,400 vehicles are contracted globally.
The Australian solution combines combat-proven performance with precision lethality and high levels of protection.
BAE Systems and Patria will transfer intellectual property and know-how for manufacture, sustainment and capability growth in Australia

Super lightweight, zero snag hazard ‘power and data’ architecture for the soldier BAE Systems Electronic Systems’ digital wire-free soldier backbone incorporates new technologies to deliver a more effective integration on the soldier platform. The ‘power and data’ architecture embedded in the soldier vest is a flexible technology that can be fitted into any load carriage solution, including belts and harnesses, plate carriers and ballistic vests. The system has been fitted to a number of load carriage solutions, including the UK Osprey vest and the US Soldier Plate Carrier System.

CTAi 40mm Cased Telescoped Armament System (CTAS)


The 40 CTAS is primarily aimed to equip armoured and reconnaissance vehicles in order to provide them with fire power superior to any other Medium-Calibre system.

The suite of ammunition developed in association with the weapon is designed to give increased effect against armoured vehicles including some previous generation main battle tanks, defeat of reinforced concrete, buildings and soft targets and suppression of dispersed troops.


M777 is a 155mm 39 caliber towed gun which, through proven technology and the innovative use of titanium and aluminum alloys, meets the requirement for rapidly deployable and accurate artillery fire support
