One apprentice has demonstrated they have the skills, ability and determination to succeed is Munitions apprentice Tom Burgess. Coleg Gwent is one of our partner colleges in South Wales and they run an annual awards programme to recognise the achievements of their apprentices and celebrate the partnership work between the college staff, employers and young people.
Coleg Gwent awarded Tom their ‘Apprentice of the Year’ award for his excellent standard or work and dedication.
Tom was nominated by his assessor Andrew Rogers. Andrew said, “I can’t speak highly of Tom enough, especially the way he conducted himself throughout the pandemic. All of his work was submitted to deadline and he even assisted in arranging remote reviews for his fellow apprentices.”
Tom also led a presentation at our Munitions virtual Apprentice Awards ceremony which his Coleg Gwent assessors were in attendance. They were so impressed by his delivery and insightful content that it cemented for them that he was the worthy winner of the award.
