A BAE Systems Digital Intelligence government customer needed to ensure it had the means to provide military, government and the private sector with a way to secure networks and information. The Digital Intelligence team started by arranging a number of workshops involving attendees from across the government and the private sector, in order to understand the need for an updated cyber security strategy. Following these workshops, the resulting National Cyber Programme placed a key emphasis on the development of the customer’s own sovereign capability.
How did BAE Systems Digital Intelligence help:
- Updating the National Security Strategy
- Producing and delivering a national cyber security concept of operations
- Delivering a national security policy framework
- Delivery and deployment of security operations centres, manned by computer emergency response teams
With a focus on assessing and mitigating cyber risk, nine military and government networks have now been incorporated into the programme.
