In recent years the depth to which we have grown to rely on IT systems as part of our critical infrastructure has become ever more evident. Critical Infrastructure Protection is primarily concerned with objects that appear indispensable for the operation of social, political and business life.
Trends surrounding infrastructure difficulties caused by accidental failures have led to awareness of the prospective for damage that could be caused by both targeted attacks and cyber warfare.
Current approaches to addressing these problems have tended to focus on traditional security methods, and have not rallied the full extent of capabilities provided by digital technologies.
It is the unalienable truth that everyone is going to get hacked. We will discuss potential solutions how today’s trends dictate the mitigations of tomorrow as well as how the nature of these threats as is ever changing so that subsequently the nature of the defence is also ever changing.
