Interactive Demonstration Environment
The new facility reinforces the Company’s commitment to advance the understanding and adoption of cybersecurity and ‘business defence’ in the country.
Situated in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, BAE Systems’ Malaysian Nerve Centre is equipped with some of the latest and most sophisticated interactive technology – from video presentation software that runs in parallel with real time demonstrations, to interactive touch screens allowing immersive drag-and-drop and other selected functions.
Rishesingar Ramasamy, Head of Malaysia Engineering Centre at BAE Systems, said:
“The new centre offers a realistic simulation of a virtual environment, demonstrating the detection of cyber threats in real-time and how data analytics and intelligence-led solutions can protect an organisation’s critical information, systems and networks.
“It is only by improving awareness of the existing threats, among individuals and in organisations, that we can help defend against cybercrime, enable companies to comply with regulation, and reduce the evolving risk that an increasingly connected world brings,” Rishesingar said.
Elaine Baker, Global Head of Engineering for BAE Systems Applied Intelligence, visited Kuala Lumpur to officiate the opening. She said:
“The establishment of the Malaysian Nerve Centre is an exciting next step in our growing presence in Malaysia, further enabling our employees to execute our mission to protect and enhance the connected world, by using technology to educate and inform.”
BAE Systems has a growing number of over 350 employees in its Malaysian Engineering Centre, focused on global and local delivery and support for the company’s cyber and financial crime detection services.
