BAE Systems recognised as winner in the “Cyber Risk Management” category of Chartis RiskTech100® 2017 rankings

Chartis RiskTech100® 2017 Cyber Risk Category Winner
BAE Systems has been recognised as the winner in the “Cyber Risk Management” category of the RiskTech100® 2017 rankings by Chartis, a leading provider of research and analysis on the global market for risk technology and part of the Incisive Media Group. BAE Systems was also ranked 12th in the overall rankings of 100 companies.
Now in its eleventh year, the RiskTech100® is a comprehensive independent study of the world’s major players in risk and compliance technology.
“BAE Systems is one of the category leaders in the financial crime and cyber risk management space,” notes to Peyman Mestchian, Managing Partner at Chartis Research, acknowledging BAE Systems’ domain knowledge, flexibility and agility to solve non-standard problems.

In a foreword to the 2017 rankings report, Mestchian observed: “For me, the most significant demand-side driver in the market is the shift in risk management responsibilities and accountability to the front office. This is partly because of regulatory requirements – but it’s also better risk management. Business lines have to take ownership for risk, and this has significant implications for technology, data and analytics.”
