It lies outside the village of Alsager, with good connections to bigger towns and links to trails and walkways around the Cheshire countryside.
Much of the production work is now undertaken by advanced technologies: each round is checked by a plethora of digital cameras and lasers to ensure they comply to very specific design requirements. However, over 400 people are still employed on the site, which has played a major role in producing ammunition for the British Army since the Battle of Britain and D-Day Landings of the Second World War.

Alsager station sits on the lines running from Crewe to Derby and Crewe to London Euston. For slower getaways, the Trent and Mersey canal passes by and is a splendid way to explore the nearby countryside and villages, whether by foot or boat.
Retail, leisure and cultural delights can be found both in Alsager, which has its own music festival, and on a larger scale in nearby towns, including Crewe. Stoke on Trent, and the beautiful market town of Nantwich.
