A small town in the far west of Surrey, Frimley is adjacent to the border with Hampshire and about 30 miles south-west of central London. With good road and rail links, Frimley also has a range of shops, restaurants and pubs in its centre and is close to the larger towns of Camberley and Farnborough, Hants. The area is diverse, featuring countryside, woodlands, waterways and ancient heaths as well as small market towns and pretty villages.
BAE Systems, through predecessors such as GEC Marconi, Alenia Marconi Systems and Insyte, have roots in and around Frimley reaching back to the 1970’s. A new site was built in 2005, today holding around 650 staff developing and supporting major platforms including QEC and Type 26 ships, Astute and Dreadnought class Submarines plus Harrier. The majority of Air Sector staff work within our Defence Information business which is distributed across a number of sites around the UK, with Frimley focused on software and systems activities for home and overseas customers.
A bright, modern office, Victory Point is a 5 minute walk away from Frimley town centre. It has a subsidised canteen which serves a variety of hot and cold foods and drinks, including breakfast, cooked lunches, sandwiches and snacks. With parking on site and easy access to the M3 and the A31/A331, the office is conveniently situated for major routes in the south east.
