Your Learning and Development
Our GDF scheme is designed to give you ownership of your career aspirations, supported by training and practical experience to help you succeed.
After an induction in your chosen UK business, you’ll be assigned a mentor who will offer advice and insight when you need it. You’ll also participate in development modules with graduates across our different businesses.
All of this is designed to complement your placements, fuel your ambition, and give depth to your training and career.

What you’ll need
To join us on the GDF you must have a minimum of a 2:2 Bachelor's degree in a subject related to your chosen area of work. Once you begin your search you will find specific details on preferred degrees within each role type.
We’ll also look for you to demonstrate exceptional problem solving and analytical skills and have the flexibility and resilience to thrive at BAE Systems.
How to apply
We ask all candidates to apply online using our application form to ensure our selection process is completely fair and consistent.
Our main recruitment window runs from the beginning of September to the end of October (Business roles) / the end of December (Engineering roles) however applications remain open for the above role(s) and will close once sufficient applications have been received.
Your online application will involve a number of numerical, verbal and situational strength tests.
If you are successful you will have a video interview, and selected candidates will then be invited to a face-to-face interview.
We operate multiple intakes throughout the year including September, January and June.
