Your Learning and Development
Our GDF scheme is designed to give you ownership of your career aspirations, supported by training and practical experience to help you succeed.
After an induction in your chosen UK business, you’ll be assigned a mentor who will offer advice and insight when you need it. You’ll also participate in development modules with graduates across our different businesses.
If you are following an engineering scheme you will be enrolled onto a Level 7 Post-Graduate Engineering Apprenticeship programme delivered online by Cranfield University which will provide you with a valuable Masters-level Post-Graduate Diploma in Engineering Competence – a key step towards reaching Chartered Engineering (CEng) accreditation.
All of this is designed to complement your placements, fuel your ambition, and give depth to your training and career.
Rewards and Benefits
We expect great things of our graduates. In return, you can expect a generous salary with a comprehensive benefits and pension package, including 25 days’ annual holiday with flexible leave arrangements, senior mentoring, and product and service discounts.
What you’ll need
To join us on the GDF you must have a minimum of a 2:2 Bachelor's degree in a subject related to your chosen area of work. Once you begin your search you will find specific details on preferred degrees within each role type.
We’ll also look for you to demonstrate exceptional problem solving and analytical skills and have the flexibility and resilience to thrive at BAE Systems.
