The scheme offers significant responsibility and exposure across three diverse placements to gain a broad understanding of all aspects of finance and how these fit into the wider organisation. About the programme
The Finance Accelerate Programme is designed as an entry route into Accountancy. For the duration of the scheme, you’ll work towards gaining your professional Chartered Accountancy qualification whilst gaining practical experience in a variety of core areas within our Finance team.
You’ll complete your professional qualification alongside developing the relevant skills and behaviours to be successful in your role. To complement your studies, Finance Accelerate has been designed to expose you to a variety of finance roles. Each role will provide you with the opportunity to develop your finance and business acumen skills as well as growing your soft skills.
This programme would particularly suit an individual who is keen to get involved with all aspects of finance, who enjoys problem solving and who is committed to furthering their career through an external study programme.
If you demonstrate the aspiration and high potential to further excel within the Finance function, you’ll have the opportunity of progressing onto Future Talent Programme, which is a two-year scheme designed around enabling you to become a future finance leader.

On the Finance Accelerate Programme, BAE Systems will invest in your development with encouragement and support to reach your full potential. What you'll need
To join us on the Finance Accelerate Programme you must have a minimum of a 2:1 Bachelor's degree in any subject and 120 UCAS points or equivalent (excluding General Studies).
You will need to be geographically mobile, show flexibility and resilience and have exceptional practical and analytical skills to thrive on the programme, and take responsibility for your own progression.
Finance is a very hands-on profession that will see you working in demanding industrial environments, so it’s vital that you have the tact, confidence and tenacity to challenge accepted practices and robustly manage cost savings at ground level.
