Due to the current pandemic, we're hosting a number of Virtual Open Days so that you can learn more about our apprenticeships at BAE Systems Maritime.

At BAE Systems, we provide some of the world’s most advanced, technology-led defence, aerospace and security solutions.

With a heritage stretching back more than 200 years, our Maritime businesses work alongside our customers and partners to deliver some of the world’s most complex engineering projects. We design and manufacture naval ships and submarines, as well as their combat systems which detect, track and destroy threats in the naval environment.

We also support our customers both in the UK and overseas with the design, maintenance and support of equipment, including radars and small boats. Our work includes maintaining and upgrading the Royal Navy’s surface fleet at Portsmouth Naval Base, including the Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carriers, Type 45 destroyers, Type 23 frigates and Hunt Class mine countermeasure vessels.

As part of this Virtual Open Day event you will find out about the opportunities we have available within the following locations: Portsmouth Naval Base; Broad Oak, Portsmouth; Cowes, Isle of Wight; Frimley; Filton; Hillend; Weymouth and New Malden.

  • Find out more about joining BAE Systems and the application process
  • Listen to current apprentices talk about why they joined the programme and their experiences
  • You will also have the opportunity to ask any questions at the end of the session

To find out more about the apprenticeship opportunities we offer, please register for one of our Maritime Open Days.
