HMS Tamar arrives in Portsmouth

HMS Tamar arrives in Portsmouth
HMS Tamar, the fourth of five new River Class Offshore Patrol Vessels being delivered by BAE Systems for the Royal Navy, arrived in her home port of Portsmouth this week.
She joins the first three ships in class at HM Naval Base Portsmouth, which are already delivering world-class capability to the Royal Navy.

Now safely alongside, HMS Tamar will be commissioned at an appropriate point later in the year when she will join the rest of the Royal Navy’s Offshore Patrol Vessels in a range of important operations from counter-terrorism and anti-smuggling, to securing the UK’s borders to help keep Britain safe, making her a valuable addition to the Royal Navy’s operational fleet.
