Supporting our front-line heroes during the COVID-19 pandemic

Thanks to our employees, thousands of protective face shields have been delivered to our heroic healthcare professionals on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic.

When it became clear that there was a critical shortage of face shields in hospitals, the additive manufacturing team across our footprint began exploring how to use our in-house 3D printing capabilities to make frames for face shields during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the U.S., the team shipped more than 7,000 face shield frames to local healthcare organizations in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Huntsville, New York, Indiana, California, New Jersey and Virginia. The frames were printed in-house and sourced in partnership with strategic suppliers.

Our colleagues in the United Kingdom also developed an innovative face shield design. More than 2,000 face shields have been manufactured in Rochester and distributed to NHS healthcare workers to support the fight against COVID-19.

Thank you to all of our employees and supply partners who have supported this important effort.
