Roger that: Welcoming the MCC team
In late January, BAE Systems began its journey to acquire the former Raytheon Airborne Radios business, which came to market as a result of the Raytheon and United Technologies Corporation merger. After the merger concluded on April 3, we are welcoming the newly named Multiband Communications and Crypto Systems into the BAE Systems family.

Electronic Systems has long recognized the importance of the supply base and, in 2017, established Supplier Partnerships to move away from transactional and more toward partnership-based relationships. Today, that organization has continued to mature the partnership model. It continues to work closely with suppliers to improve quality and delivery while also advocating for them within BAE Systems.

Pulling buses to push technology forward
Each year, team across the U.K. participate in the BAE Systems Apprentice Innovation Challenge, in which they are tasked to build a device that addresses an issue faced by charities. For 2020, a group of apprentices in Rochester put their strength and determination to the test and successfully pulled an iconic London double decker red bus as part of fundraising efforts for the U.K. Royal Centre for Defence Medicine.

The HEAT is rising in Huntsville
Electronic Systems has opened a new facility in Huntsville, Alabama that will provide workspace for more than 200 high-tech employees by the end of 2021. ES announced the expansion in 2018 as an opportunity to establish a close working relationship with the U.S. Army and Redstone Arsenal and attract key local talent to develop and deliver important new capabilities to our customers.

Supporting our front-line heroes during the COVID-19 pandemic
