Tool Options
APPROVED VENDOR LIST (AVL) MANAGER Our AVL Tool is designed to allow a user to upload a flat file parts list to obtain part status and identify potential solutions for groups of parts. AVL Manger allows the use of AVCOM health status, obsolescence projection, predefined reports and analysis, Logistics data, COTs statusing, and simple impact analysis. AVL Manager also allows a user to receive Auto-Alerts – Automated e-mail alerts that include Product Change Notices, Product Discontinuance Notices, Last Time Buy Notices from OEMs and Counterfeit Notices. AVL Tool includes Case Management tools to track your obsolescence issues to closure and users may also enter custom notes for each part that can be shared within customer group or across all customer groups.
STRUCTURE BUILDER In addition to the AVL Tool features, Structure Builder allows users to upload an unlimited indentured structured BoM using the BoM Builder and Analysis Import Wizard. Indentured BoMs allow for advanced impact analysis capability to identify items locations per Technical Order Figure/Index data.
ENTERPRISE EDITION The Enterprise Edition is a turn-key option available for large platform obsolescence management or to users who do not have resources to manage an obsolescence program. BAE Systems AVCOM Component Verification Group (CVG) scrubs, quality checks and loads (IS09001 certified process) the customer parts data received from either electronic files or paper documentation. The verification group cross references qualified part data to the loaded configuration to provide the qualified alternate part data information. The Component Resolution Group (CRG) provides engineering services to provide analysis and resolution for obsolete and hard to find parts. BAE Systems AVCOM production team will then manage the customer’s configuration and update part information by opening and tracking Obsolescence Case Sheets then updating the configuration based on customer’s implementation of AVCOM's recommend solutions.
