ACTIVITY BASED INTELLIGENCE (ABI)
No mission is more critical than ensuring our national security and the safety of our warfighters. That’s why BAE Systems Intelligence Analysts and Engineers developed Activity Based Intelligence (ABI) tools.
ABI is a new computer-assisted problem solving methodology that is helping the Intelligence Community streamline the processing and exploitation of the vast amounts of intelligence data it collects every day. With the proliferation of new digital intelligence sources, the amount of big data being collected has made it nearly impossible to track and identify suspicious activities and potential security threats solely through human analytical processes. ABI is improving the efficiency and timeliness of intelligence analysis to better understand and take action upon historical, current and anticipated activities involving national or global security.
BAE Systems is also developing and training a new breed of analyst to support the growing demand for ABI solutions. ABI analysts leverage computer assistance to process and exploit collected data, regardless of the data source, faster than traditional methods enabling them to solve more complex intelligence problems in a narrower time horizon.
The goal of BAE Systems’ ABI solutions and training is to empower intelligence analysts to identify suspicious patterns and better understand adversary tactics, techniques and procedures in real-time, because when it comes to the security of our nation and the safety of our service members overseas, every moment counts.
ABI can process and integrate data collected from a variety of sensors, to include:
- Space-based electro-optical
- BAE Systems’ ABI solution provides analysts with a platform where all collected data can be uniquely visualized geo-temporally.
- ABI saves analyst’s time and organizational resources. Given the high cost and investment of airborne or space based vehicle assets, the increased efficiencies created by using ABI can reduce asset utilization, creating significant financial savings.
- Additionally by accelerating the analytic process, ABI enables the anticipation of events for tactical decision making versus the traditional analytic methods based on forensic (historic) analysis.
