A few months back, the company asked employees to tell their stories on video through the We Are BAE Systems Film Festival. And tell they did. More than 60 employees and teams from the U.S., U.K., and Sweden produced videos — musicals, comedies, and dramas — in a competition for votes and some nice prizes.
“Each reflected an aspect of what makes BAE Systems, Inc. unique: our values, our employees, and our deep-seated sense of mission and commitment to customers,” said Inc. President and CEO Linda Hudson, who hosted a Sept. 12 awards ceremony honoring the contest winners.
Nine finalists (three from each category) were posted on YouTube, and the winners were determined by the number of “likes” each received. Here’s who won.

“We are in the midst of a very challenging time for our industry, and it’s only going to get tougher,” Hudson said. “It’s been hard on the business, and even harder on our people. To see this level of enthusiasm and engagement — in the face of such tremendous adversity — it’s really a reminder of what makes BAE Systems a great workplace. And that’s our employees.”
