“You join a distinguished group of 79 individuals whose contributions to the art and practice of systems engineering are recognized and respected worldwide,” Ms. Lunney wrote in the letter.
INCOSE is an international non-profit organization and recognized across the globe as the leading systems engineering authority.
“I am thrilled to be recognized with such high distinction for systems engineering. This is truly an extraordinary honor,” said Dr. Wang, chief engineer for BAE Systems’ Integrated Defense Solutions business.
For more than a decade, Dr. Wang has been actively contributing to systems engineering thought leadership, publishing peer-review papers, presenting at conferences, participating in industry working groups, and volunteering in his community. He also received the “Lifetime Achievement Award” from the University of Southern California Center for Systems and Software Engineering Consortium in 2014.
Dr. Wang is also an Expert Systems Engineering Professional, the highest certification awarded by INCOSE.
“We are pleased to hear of Dr. Wang’s appointment as an INCOSE Fellow,” said Mark Keeler, vice president and general manager of Integrated Defense Solutions. “Dr. Wang is not only a valuable member of our leadership team; he is recognized and respected worldwide as being a thought leader in the field of engineering. Congratulations, Gan, for all of your accomplishments!”
A formal announcement will be made this summer, at the 30th INCOSE International Symposium in Cape Town, South Africa.
Congratulations, Dr. Wang, from all of your colleagues at BAE Systems.
