Our IntelliCabin system made headlines at the Aircraft Interiors Expo show in Hamburg, Germany, as 18 journalists joined us for the announcement that we’re bringing our IntelliCabin In-flight Entertainment (IFE) to Vistara Airlines.
The show was an excellent opportunity for the commercial aviation market to learn more about the IntelliCabin system, which provides tablet-based, IFE, dynamic LED lighting, and in-seat power. The system’s in-seat power solution ensures that all passengers receive the power they need while increasing legroom and stowage over traditional systems. During the three day show, we discussed IntelliCabin with 45 airlines, 11 of which have near term plans for acquiring either in-seat power or wireless IFE capability for their fleet.
“Our interaction with potential customers this year was quite extensive. They had a comprehensive understanding of their aircraft cabin needs and were targeting specific programs for implementation,” said Jared Shoemaker, director of cabin systems at BAE Systems. “Announcing the Vistara IFE program on the first day of the show generated a lot of interest, because it demonstrated the viability of the IntelliCabin solution with an award from a highly discriminating customer.”
Our Commercial Aircraft Solutions team from Endicott, N.Y., first launched IntelliCabin at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in 2013, but expectations for the 2015 show were high since partnering with Samsung and landing the product line’s IFE launch customer, Vistara.
The IntelliCabin system is available for retrofit and line fit to airlines and aircraft manufacturers worldwide. With its customizable in-seat power solution, cutting-edge cabin management and entertainment via Samsung tablets, it’s clear this product line deserves the buzz it’s receiving. So the next time you fly Vistara, get ready for an enhanced experience courtesy of IntelliCabin.
