The starting salary for 2012 is £10,508.

On completion of your training you can expect to be working in areas such as Systems Engineering, Support, Design Engineering and Flight Systems.
Software Training Programme
The software training scheme is a 3 year programme based on a combination of academic study and industrial experience. Entry to the programme is based on A2 level (or equivalent UCAS points) for entry to the academic part of the programme. Applicants must have at least 180 UCAS points with preference given to candidates with strengths in Mathematics, Physics and/or Engineering.
The academic study consists of a 2 year programme working toward a foundation degree ((FdSc) in Computing) from East Riding College. During term time the apprentices will be required to attend 3 days per week at college and 2 days per week at BAE Systems Brough. Outside of term time the trainees are required to work 5 days per week at our site at Brough.
We pay all college fees.
The academic portion of the 3rd year of the training programme is spent at the University of Hull working toward a BSc (Hons) Computer Science.
Attendance at the university of Hull is full time during the academic terms.
The industrial part of the training is based on a series of 4 to 6 month rotations across the systems and software teams at BAE Systems Brough.
These rotations are designed to provide broad experience across the full systems and software lifecycle and the successful completion of a level 3 NVQ.
Aircraft Maintenance and Support Apprenticeship Programme
Aircraft Maintenance and Support 2 year apprenticeships will also be available in Yorkshire at our Aircraft Maintenance Academy at Robin Hood Airport, near Doncaster.
The Aircraft Maintenance Apprentice programme aims to produce highly trained, motivated people to work on Mechanical or Avionic Systems or in Continued Airworthiness Organisation support. As such this Apprentice programme is underpinned by a City & Guilds 2675 Technical Certificate / NVQ level 3 qualification.
A common basic training programme is delivered in Year 1, mixing theory with practical work. Vocational streaming in the 2nd year means it’s all ‘on the job training’ working on the aircraft or in the support areas at RAF Coningsby in Lincolnshire or RAF Marham in Norfolk.
We will be starting the recruitment process in March/April 2013 for an early October 2013 start.
