Suzanne leads the transformation and growth of BAE Systems CORDA to meet the growing demands of our customers with a vision that we will be their leading provider of analysis, modelling and consultancy services. Suzanne started her career as an analyst at CORDA, with much of her early career being in support of NATO. This included analysis support to the frontline with deployments to Bosnia and Kosovo, and three years as the Operational Analyst at the NATO Joint Force Command in Naples, Italy. Suzanne has 20 years of experience in the defence industry and is a Fellow of the Operational Research Society.
Head of Service Delivery (Air)
John is responsible for the delivery of decision support consultancy for customers in the Air sector, both internally to BAE Systems and externally. At CORDA, John has held a number of roles including leading CORDA’s Adjacent Market Campaign into wider government and the HR Analytics lead. He was also Head of Energy and Sustainability, responsible for energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives within BAE Systems and the Ministry of Defence (MOD). John has 20 years of experience of leading and delivering analysis consultancy projects, including Programme Manager of the Maritime Surface Effects research programme, a £10million enabling contract for MOD. He has a keen interest in innovation having led an open innovation programme while seconded to the Big Innovation Centre.
Head of Service Delivery (Maritime)
Ben brings decision support services to customers across the Maritime domain. As well as supporting work internally to BAE Systems, Ben deals with MOD customers including Navy Command HQ (NCHQ), the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory (Dstl), the Missile Defence Centre (MDC) and the Maritime Warfare Centre (MWC). Ben has a wealth of cross-domain experience delivering operational research and intelligence analysis in roles throughout the MOD and industry. He has helped customers understand and solve problems as diverse as how to sustain skills within the MOD’s Whole Force Approach, how to develop resilient operational support solutions, and providing evidence for major procurement decisions.
Head of Service Delivery (Land)
Josh develops decision support solutions for customers in the Land domain, both internally to BAE Systems and externally to Dstl and Army HQ. He has recently been responsible for delivering projects relating to reducing logistic need, including STRIKE Sustainment to Head of Capability Combat Service Support (HoC CSS) at Army HQ in Andover. Josh has also led on investigating lessons learning, operational reporting databases and wargaming for the Land Warfare Development Centre in Warminster. Josh had 16 years of experience as a consultant prior to joining CORDA providing analytical, decision and experiment support across government and the MOD as well as serving in the British Army as an infantry officer.
Head of Service Delivery (Business Consultancy)
Michael is responsible for the development of decision support services for CORDA’s non-defence customers, including UK government, industry, and parts of BAE Systems. Michael is closely involved in the delivery of work in CORDA’s security, policing and transport sector accounts. Since 2011, he has worked with customers across central government, supporting decision-making in the Home Office and the Department for Transport on a range of counter-terrorism and national security issues. Prior to 2011, Michael delivered operational research for the MOD in support of major procurement programmes and urgent operational requirements.
ASC Programme Director
Judith leads the Analysis Support Construct (ASC). This involves managing the key interfaces with Dstl, defence and security stakeholders, and the UK analysis community; leading the CORDA Programme Management Office and delivering Dstl’s vision for the ASC. Judith has over 30 years of experience providing analysis across the defence sector. She provides independent review across defence and is a member of the Defence Science Expert Committee (DSEC) offering independent advice to the MOD. Judith is also a Fellow of the Operational Research Society and a member of the Royal United Services Institute.
Head of Technical Development
Alan is responsible for the technical direction and the quality of the work we deliver. This involves setting out the team’s technical strategy and processes, the assurance of the work we deliver and the technical development of CORDA’s staff. Alan is especially enthusiastic about using data and analysis to help executives make better, informed decisions. Alan worked for Capgemini for 11 years and a software company for three years before joining BAE Systems in 2007.
Head of Commercial
James is responsible for leading the commercial function and associated processes, procedures and strategies. James started his career with BAE Systems in 1996 as a Systems Engineer and has since had many commercial and procurement roles within the company. Prior to joining CORDA, James was responsible for the commercial, procurement and programme management of the Niteworks contract for the MOD.
