Niteworks

Niteworks

After 15 years of providing continuous evidence-based decision support to UK Ministry Of Defence (MOD), the Niteworks partnership of 177 companies closed on 31 March 2018.
From its origins as a warfighting experimentation centre helping the MOD address its information challenges, Niteworks evolved into a capability providing support to military operations, capability development and acquisition practices. BAE Systems held the lead contractor role within the partnership and provided commercial and financial leadership as part of a core team of MOD uniformed staff, civil servants, Dstl scientists and industrialists from across the partnership.

Although Niteworks in its current form has come to a close, the MOD is running a competition to select a lead service provider to take the Niteworks capability forward into its next five year phase. Following the announcement of the competition in 2017, MOD launched its acquisition strategy in January 2018, holding an industry day with interested companies. BAE Systems remains committed to supporting the MOD and currently plans to bid to lead the partnership for a further phase, though will only take a final decision on this once the requirement has been published.
