We support numerous community activities in a variety of ways including:

  • AFC Fylde Community Foundation: we are AFC Fylde’s Community Partner covering After School Clubs, Curriculum Coaching and Fans of the Future scheme. 
  • Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal Cadet Awards: we support the Lord Lieutenant of Lancashire’s Poppy Appeal Cadet Awards. In 2013, the Cadets across Lancashire raised £100,186 for the Royal British Legion.
  • Lancashire Science Festival: our Education team are supporting the three-day event at the University of Central Lancashire. Over 5000 visitors from primary schools, secondary schools and sixth form colleges will attend the event before it is open to the general public on the final day.
  • Armed Forces Day: in 2014 we are supporting the Armed Forces Day events in Blackpool, Beverley and Preston.
  • Fusion Awards: the Fusion Awards are a celebration of the achievements of the community and rewards people from different backgrounds and cultures who make their local community a better place to live and work. BAE Systems sponsors the Youth Leadership Award.
  • Schools Aerospace Challenge: we have supported the Schools Aerospace Challenge since its inception in the early 1990s. The Challenge is open to all schools and youth organisations in the UK. Teams of three, aged between 16 and 18 compete to win a place on a five day residential course at RAF Cranwell.
