The UK Government and BAE Systems are proud to be part of this year’s International Sanicole Airshow.

Eurofighter Typhoon, the most advanced and capable multi-role aircraft available on the market today, will return to the show on 8 September as part of the event’s prestigious 40th anniversary celebrations. The Royal Air Force Eurofighter Typhoon Display Pilot, Flight Lieutenant Ryan Lawton, will perform a spectacular aerial display during the evening event. Eurofighter Typhoon is being considered as part of the Air Combat Capability Program (ACCaP) requirement to replace Belgium’s F-16 aircraft.

HM Ambassador to Belgium, Alison Rose, said: “I am delighted that Eurofighter Typhoon will be back in Belgium again this year, playing a major part in the Sanicole Air Show’s 40th anniversary celebrations. The UK and Belgian Air Forces enjoy strong and long-standing links dating back more than 70 years.  I am confident the Eurofighter Typhoon display will prove one of the highlights of the show.”

Anthony Gregory, Campaign Delivery Director for BAE Systems, said: “Sanicole Air Show was one of the highlights of the 2016 calendar and interest in the Eurofighter Typhoon aircraft was evident throughout the event. We are looking forward to bringing the aircraft back to Sanicole in 2017 and showcasing the capability for which it is renowned.”

In addition to the Typhoon display, the world famous Royal Air Force Aerobatic Team, the Red Arrows, will return to the skies over Hetchel for the event.
