We are the prime contractor for one of the most exciting engineering projects in the world today, known as the Astute nuclear submarine programme. The Astute class is made up of seven submarines; each one packed with cutting edge, state-of-the-art technology and will equip the UK Royal Navy with its largest and most powerful fleet of attack submarines.
We’re also the industry lead for the successor nuclear-deterrent programme, home to the Future Submarine Programme to replace the Vanguard class of submarines and we are also involved in the design of two new supercarriers for the Royal Navy known as HMS Queen Elizabeth and HMS Prince of Wales.
You’ll need the ambition, vision and talent to join our submarines team to deliver some of the world’s most exciting engineering technology.
You’ll receive the support you need to attain chartered status at professional institutions such as the Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA. Should you focus on a more business-related career, you'll be fully supported through membership of the relevant professional institutions, such as the Association of Project Management (APM). We also encourage further education, offering funding to study Masters degrees required for CEng status and Postgraduate courses in Project Management required for APM membership.
