"Throughout my career with BAE Systems Saudi Arabia I have had considerable support in my professional development. I joined the company as an apprentice in 2001 and graduated three years later as Jet Engine & Fuel Systems Technician Trainer. In 2007 I was promoted to Supervisor, later joining the Quality team in 2010. In 2013 I was promoted to Superintendent Position in Intermediate Maintenance and after a successful participation in the selection and development centre in 2016, moved back to Quality team as Quality Superintendent.

"Flying with the Royal Saudi Air Force is a great experience, offering a new challenge to work through each day. Although the pilot stream offers limited opportunities for immediate progression, those that have changed streams have done extremely well, most now occupying senior managerial positions here in Kingdom. I have been with BAE Systems Saudi Arabia for over 10 years now, which is testament to how well my family and I settled into living in KSA. Apart from an initial settling in period and adjusting to life after military, the Company has been fantastic to work for. Living and working in Saudi Arabia is a great experience. My wife and kids love it here and apart from some of the cultural restrictions, we live a completely normal life - in many ways it's better than we had back home. The compound lifestyle is very colourful and the facilities are second to none. Without doubt the happiest time of my BAE Systems Career, working with a great individuals, who came together to deliver as a team. I was then offered a generic HR Operational Management role at RAF Coningsby/RAF Marham working within the Maintenance function, which provided me greater exposure to the UK Aerospace Resourcing Arena. In 2015 I was offered the opportunity to return to Saudi Arabia, within Technical Training Studies at Dhahran, which I was happy to accept as I had always wanted to finish my BAE Systems Career here in Saudi Arabia. Several appointments later I now find myself in Tabuk as Business Services Manager, a very different role to those that I have previously occupied, but the diversity is exposing me to new challenges that I am thoroughly enjoying.
