Early careers programmes

Graduate Development Framework (GDF):

The Graduate Development Framework (GDF) is our main graduate entry route into Engineering (which includes Aerospace Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical, System Engineering and Industrial Engineering) and Business functions (which includes Project Management, Procurement, Commercial, Human Resources, Finance and Marketing).

The GDF will support your transition into our business and your initial development. Following an induction, it includes on-the-job training and external learning, along with a Graduate Development Programme to enhance personal effectiveness and business acumen. There may be opportunities for secondments to other Business Locations to give you greater business exposure in line with your development plan. Where possible, we will also actively support you to achieve relevant professional qualifications. We also run a mentoring scheme, which enables you to discuss your career development with your Corporate Mentor (one of our most senior managers).

In addition, you will be able to access a range of training courses, from technical to interpersonal skills, through our Learning Resource Centre’s and Virtual University. Graduates on the programme are expected to enjoy greater professional fulfilment, be better prepared to take a position and develop more defined career goals as a result of taking part in the programme.

Co-operative Training Programme:

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia, in conjunction with Saudi Universities, is sponsoring a number of positions annually for the placement of undergraduate students into the company’s operations Kingdom-wide.
The purpose of the programme is to enable the students to gain essential practical experience in addition to the classroom and laboratory-based teaching associated with their particular engineering or professional discipline.

The co-operative training programme provides the student with exposure to the industrial and commercial environment. The programme seeks to blend classroom and theory with shop-floor experience.

English Language Teachers (ELT):

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia has training opportunities for well motivated, high calibre University Graduates holding a degree in English. Successful applicants will be given a six month training contract, which will include time to complete administration, site orientation, relocation and a 16 week course following the Cambridge University Teaching Knowledge Test. Any balance at the end of the training would be spent on additional teaching practice.

Suitable applicants who pass the strict selection process and successfully complete the training may be offered a position as an English Language Teacher to support Royal Saudi Air Force Training Programmes at various locations in Saudi Arabia.

High School/Diploma Graduate Programme:

Saudi National Technical Training Programme (SNTTP):

The SNTTP programme is a great chance for High School/Diploma graduates to apply to participate in a five year training programme, consisting of approximately 18 months formal instruction and three years on the job training.

The Saudi National Technician Training Programme (SNTTP) offers a range of Aircraft Maintenance trades in disciplines such as: Avionics – Instruments – Engines – Hydraulics – Weapons – Electrical – Ground Equipment – Corrosion Control etc.

Flight Line Mechanics (FLM):

The Flight Line Mechanics (FLM) Programme will recruit and train Saudi nationals to replace current highly skilled Aircraft Maintenance Technicians employed within the PC-9 and Hawk Aircraft Generation Flights (AGF), enabling these Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to be redeployed to CMS positions within Intermediate Maintenance.

Supply Chain Apprenticeship Programme:

The Supply Chain Apprenticeship Programme is a two year programme for High School/Diploma graduates. The training programme’s aim is to train Saudi nationals and develop high standards of professional skills, ability and integrity among all those engaged in purchasing and supply chain management.
