Our History in Brazil

History Brazil
BAE Systems has had a presence in Brazil for a number of years. We have an office in Brasilia and you can track our involvement in Brazil back to the Niterói Class frigates supplied to the Brazilian Navy in the 1970s by our legacy business VT Shipbuilding and even before then.
We also have a history of providing military vehicles in the region as the original manufacturer of several platforms used in Brazil and other parts of Latin America, including the M113 Armored Personnel Carrier, the Assault Amphibious Vehicle and the M109 self-propelled howitzer.

Our Brasilia office was established in 1998 and working with our lines of business covers: BAE Systems supplied warships and naval guns; radars; armored vehicles plus commercial and military flight controls.
