Charles Woodburn, BAE Systems' Chief Executive, said:

BAE Systems has been awarded a $54 million contract to provide 32 upgraded M109A5+ self-propelled howitzers to the Brazilian Army.

BAE Systems has been awarded a contract to produce and deliver five Bofors 40 Mk4 Naval Guns for the Brazilian Navy’s 500T “Macae” Class Patrol Vessels.

The third CV90 variant, a Multicarrier vehicle – which is known as the MultiC in Norway - was delivered to the Norwegian customer last week, in accordance with the agreed contractual schedule.

We recently delivered the first CV90 STING vehicle to the Norwegians at the company’s Örnsköldsvik facility in Sweden.

Things Are Heating Up in Brazil

Portsmouth, United Kingdom: AMAZONAS, the first of three BAE Systems built Ocean Patrol Vessels being delivered to the Brazilian Navy, has arrived in her home port of Rio de Janeiro for the first time after eight weeks at sea.

Portsmouth, United Kingdom: Amazonas, the first of three BAE Systems built Ocean Patrol Vessels being delivered the Brazilian Navy, departed the UK for Rio de Janeiro this morning after her crew completed a rigorous programme of Flag Officer Sea Training with the Royal Navy off the South coast.

Portsmouth, United Kingdom: AMAZONAS, the first of three Ocean Patrol Vessels built by BAE Systems, was handed over to the Brazilian Navy in a ceremony at Portsmouth Naval Base today.

BAE Systems will upgrade and build CV90 armoured combat vehicles for the Norwegian Army under a contract worth approximately £500 million ($750 million) awarded by the Norwegian Government.
