BAE Systems

BAE Systems Australia has a long and proud heritage in the development, manufacture, upgrade and support of world-leading combat and fast jet trainer aircraft. We operate throughout Australia and across the globe to support the Australian Defence Force (ADF) wherever, whenever and whatever their challenges may be. We provide support to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) across the entire life cycle of the air sector – from design, development and production right through to the provision of aircraft, training, support and maintenance.

BAE Systems Australia’s most recent program, the F-35, is the largest and most advanced military aircraft program in the world. Led by the US Department of Defence and Lockheed Martin, the F-35 program is extremely collaborative and will deliver a stealthy, multi-role attack aircraft capable of operating from both land and sea.

BAE Systems Australia’s F-35 sustainment activities will see roughly 400 jobs created over the next 10 years, offering new opportunities for Australian industry to build a capability set that will remain in service until the middle of the century.
