Paula Rosput Reynolds
President and Chief Executive Officer
Paula Rosput Reynolds is an experienced board member and seasoned senior executive. Reynolds is the former chairman, president and chief executive officer of Safeco Corporation, a Fortune 500 insurer that was acquired by Liberty Mutual Insurance Group in 2008. Upon the sale of Safeco, Ms. Reynolds served as vice-chairman and chief restructuring officer at American International Group (AIG). Before joining Safeco, Reynolds was an executive in the energy industry. She served as chairman, president and chief executive officer of AGL Resources, a Fortune 1000 Atlanta-based energy services holding company that has subsequently been acquired by Southern Company. Early in her career, Reynolds was an executive at Duke Energy Corporation and PG&E Corp. Reynolds currently is a member of the boards of BAE Systems plc, BP plc, and General Electric Co., and also chairs board committees. She has recently completed a number of years of board service with TransCanada Corp and CBRE Inc. She is a recipient of the National Lifetime Achievement Award from the National Association of Corporate Directors.
Reynolds serves on the board of the Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and is Trustee Emeritus and former chair of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, the leading cancer research center in the western U.S. She graduated with highest honors from Wellesley College. She and her husband, Stephen P. Reynolds, are principals in PreferWest, LLC, a family investment office. They are also actively involved in musical theatre and are co-producers of Come From Away, a Tony-award winning musical currently running on Broadway and touring nationally and internationally.
