Since 1953, we have worked purposefully to create a unique domestic capability that is today an integral part of a stronger, more sovereign Australian industry, and one that is better able to deliver the unique solutions the nation needs.
As we continue to work with our partners to enhance our collective capacity to protect the nation, we will look for new opportunities to support the country to continue its transition to a high technology economy. This philosophy underpins our commitment to Australia, where our contribution goes well beyond the products and services we provide.
Our BAE Systems Chairman, Sir Roger Carr today launched an independent report into BAE Systems Australia’s contribution to the economy. The report prepared by Oxford Economics highlights the positive contribution that BAE Systems Australia makes to the nation’s economy and the defence and security of the nation.
We hosted our inaugural ‘Strengthening Australia’s capability’ breakfast event at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. Discussion at the breakfast was led by the following speakers and facilitated by David Speers Political Editor at Sky News Australia.
- The Hon Christopher Pyne MP, Minister for Defence Industries
- Dr Alex Zelinsky, Chief Defence Scientist and Head of the Defence Science and Technology Group
- Sir Roger Carr, Chairman BAE Systems
- Dr Ian Watt AO, Non-Executive Chairman BAE Systems Australia
How do we contribute?
