Angela is the Chief Counsel and Company Secretary for BAE Systems Australia
Angela is a senior legal professional with over 15 years’ corporate experience. Angela has been with BAE Systems Australia since 2009 and was appointed Chief Counsel in July 2015.
In her role as Chief Counsel and Company Secretary, she is responsible for ensuring compliance with the laws and regulations applicable to the business, including extra-territorial export control regulations. Angela leads a team of professionals who are responsible for providing legal advice to enhance our business-winning and operational activities. Angela also leads the businesses Export Control and Security functions and is responsible for business continuity and crisis management across the Company.
Prior to her time with BAE Systems Australia, Angela was a Partner at Fisher Jeffries in the firm’s corporate and commercial practice.
Angela attended Adelaide University and obtained her Bachelor of Arts and her Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours in 2002. She is also a graduate of the Company Director course as well as the Company Secretary course run by the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Angela is passionate about the numerous individuals she mentors and enjoys working with her mentees in an effort to support them in their career progression and goals.
Angela is married with one daughter and enjoys spending quality time with her family, keeping fit and indulging in the fine things in life such as shopping, good food and great wine.
