Bradley Armored Medical Treatment Vehicle (AMTV)

Bradley AMTV

Bradley AMTV

The Bradley AMTV provides combat medical support to the Heavy Brigade Combat Team. The AMTV provides the capability to emplace forward surgical teams closer to the point of injury, allowing advanced trauma management and intervention treatment on today’s battlefield.

The AMTV provides over six feet of standing height for the four person crew (medics, physician or PA). The AMTV supports the current medical equipment sets, integrates essential patient movement items and includes an ultrasound device, defibrillator, blood refrigerator, oxygen concentrators and vital signs monitors.  A treatment table provides full body access to the litter casualty and a medical treatment light is provided to support treatment procedures. A quickly erectable shelter is stowed on-board to provide triage space for long term stationary operations.

The AMTV will possess the same survivability, mobility and Situational Awareness as the battle proven Bradley Fighting Vehicle.   All major automotive and subsystem LRU’s are common with the Bradley M2A3 fleet which minimizes the logistic footprint and simplifies training support. The AMTV is one variant in the Bradley Family of Vehicles (BFoV) which maximizes parts commonality and leverages the Bradley Reset/Remanufacturing facilities to reduce cost and minimize lead times. Other variants in the BFoV include the Bradley Armored Evacuation Vehicle (AMEV), Command Post Vehicle, Mortar Vehicle and the General Purpose Vehicle.
