Investing In Our Community   BAE Systems Support Solutions (S2) is committed to supporting the communities where its employees’ live and work. S2’s corporate responsibility program addresses philanthropy strategically by aligning our resources to the needs and focuses of our customers, as well as our current and future workforce. As a result, S2’s philanthropy strategy is a two-pronged approach, community investment combined with employee giving and volunteerism.   Community InvestmentCommunity Investment is comprised of corporate donations and charitable sponsorships. S2 focuses it's philanthropy on organizations and projects that:• Support the U.S. armed forces and their families; and• Support education, with a specific focus on the future workforce and the engagement of young people in Science, Engineering, Technology and Math (STEM).S2’s strategic community partners include Birdies for the Brave, FIRST, USO, and Operation Homefront.Employee Giving and VolunteerismS2’s employee giving and volunteerism program is commonly referred to as the “heart of S2,” which beats strong as S2 employees, across the country and around the globe, support a myriad of worthwhile causes. BAE Systems supports and encourages its employees to plan and participate in a variety of fundraising activities, as well as volunteer their time and energy to the causes that elicit the most passion. A great example of BAE Systems’ support is its’ Matching Gift Program, which means that all donations, made by full-time, U.S. employees, that are given to charities supporting members of the armed forces and/or their families; educational institutions; health organizations; and first responders, such as firefighters, police, and paramedics, are eligible to be matched by the company dollar for dollar.Organizations, who wish to partner with BAE Systems Support Solutions, and who are aligned to our company giving focus, should submit a project proposal to S2 Community Relations.
