This twelve-month placement will see you gaining invaluable experience in the real world. You’ll be working alongside some of the top professionals in their field. Taking your place as part of the team in one of our UK businesses, you’ll share in the everyday challenges, develop new skills and acquire a fascinating insight into our business. In turn you could even secure a place on one of our graduate schemes. Our range of one-year placements are offered in business, engineering or finance:
Business: Our business placements are integral to our ability to deliver successful projects and vary each year depending on where we need your skills to make the most impact.
Engineering: Cutting-edge innovations and world leading technological developments are the foundation of our business and as a result, we always have a wide range of engineering placements available.
Finance: In finance, you won’t just be working on the financial aspects of some of the most exciting projects in defence, aerospace and engineering, you’ll also be working and learning from some of the most accomplished professionals in their fields.

What You’ll Need
To join our Industrial Placement scheme you must be on course to achieve at least a 2:1 Bachelors degree. This can be in any subject for our business opportunities and a finance related subject plus 280 UCAS points (or equivalent excluding General Studies) for our finance opportunities. We also look for an engineering, numerical or scientific subject for our engineering placements. Although the academic requirements are important, we also want you to see opportunity where others see problems and think around challenges that others can't navigate. You'll use the resources at your fingertips and the skills you’ll develop to collaborate with your team and find solutions to real life problems.

Hints & Tips
When you prepare your application, think carefully about the role you are interested in and your skills. Use plain English and stick to the word limit. Also make sure to give full details of your degree modules, relevant final year projects and work experience. Hiring managers will want to see what you’ve done and how this fulfils what they are looking for.
