Supporting Veteran-Owned Small Businesses

Supporting Veteran-Owned Small Businesses
At BAE Systems, we are committed to helping Veterans in any way possible to ensure that “we protect those who protect us.”

Whether it’s through our Warrior Integration Program , which hires wounded warriors as valued employees, or other hiring programs, we are dedicated to making the transition from military to the private sector seamless.

But our commitment to Veterans doesn’t end with our hiring initiatives. In fact, our Intelligence & Security, Support Solutions and Electronic Solutions sectors are being recognized at the 2013 Veteran Entrepreneur Training Symposium (VETS) for going above and beyond to champion Veteran-Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small businesses.

VETS, hosted by the National Veteran Small Business Coalition (NVSBC) in Reno, Nev., will recognize Champions of Veteran Enterprise, namely Federal agencies and prime contractors that met or exceeded the mandated goal of providing opportunities to Veteran-Owned and Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small businesses.

The Awards Luncheon is our way of saying ‘Thank You!’ [to the organizations] for their support of our Veteran entrepreneurs,” said Scott Denniston, Executive Director of the NVSBC.

Congratulations to our sectors that have been recognized and let’s continue supporting our Veterans for years to come!
