Erin Moseley Hosts Sequestration Q&A for Norfolk, VA Shipyard Employees

Erin Moseley _Norfolkd Visit
Amid uncertainty about the potential impacts of sequestration, Erin Moseley, the new president of our Support Solutions sector, visited employees today at the BAE Systems Ship Repair facility in Norfolk, Virginia.

She assured the workforce that the company will continue to communicate as information becomes available. At this time, we still do not know exactly how sequestration would be implemented for individual programs, and we await specific guidance from our customers. “You will know what we know, when we know it,” Moseley said during a question-and-answer session with employees.

Located on the Elizabeth River, Norfolk Ship Repair is the headquarters of the company’s Ship Repair business, which employs approximately 5,000 people at six shipyards across the country. BAE Systems is a leading provider to the U.S. Navy of non-nuclear ship repair, modernization, conversion and overhaul services. For more information, visit
